Job Description
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining records in our company database. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to handle large volumes of data while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Input: Accurately enter information from various source documents (handwritten, digital, or physical files) into the computer system or database.
- Database Maintenance: Regularly update existing data, correct errors, and perform routine backups to ensure data integrity.
- Verification & Auditing: Review and verify data for deficiencies or errors; reconcile any discrepancies between source documents and the database.
- Record Management: Scan, file, and organize physical documents after data has been digitized.
- Information Retrieval: Generate reports and pull specific data sets as requested by management or other departments.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict compliance with company privacy policies and protect the security of sensitive information.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Typing Speed: Minimum of 45–50 WPM (Words Per Minute) with a high accuracy rate.
- Software Proficiency: strong experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs/filtering) and basic database software (e.g., QuickBooks, Salesforce, or SAP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot typos, numerical errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high-volume workload without sacrificing quality. JOB LOCATED IN SPARTANBURG, SC
