Looking for Plasma Table, Beamline and Angle Master experience!

Position: Structural Steel CNC Machine Operator

Location: Clackamas, OR 97015

Pay: $23.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Full-time | 40–50 hours/week | Overtime available

What You’ll Do

• Operate CNC Machines : Set up and run Angle Master, Plate Burner, and Beamline systems for cutting, drilling, punching, and marking steel.
• Handle Materials : Use overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload raw and finished materials.
• Perform Quality Checks : Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and blueprints to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
• Conduct Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance, report equipment issues, and assist in mechanical troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the Team : Work alongside foremen, programmers, and other team members to meet production targets and support process improvements.

What You Need to Have

• High school diploma or GED
• 4 years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining parameters
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools
• Familiarity with structural steel grades and machining tolerances
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

The Musts

• English language proficiency
• Ability to commute to or relocate to Clackamas, OR before starting
• Strong commitment to OSHA safety standards and procedures

Preferred

• Forklift certification and overhead crane operation experience
• Experience with SigmaNEST or similar CNC programming software
• Vocational or technical training in a related field
• 2+ years of structural steel fabrication experience
