Senior Leave Administrator

Location: Hybrid in Brentwood, TN (3 days a week on-site)

Rate: $22/hr

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Leave Administrator to step in and manage employee leave cases during a period of transition. This role will focus on hands‑on leave administration using UKG’s Leave Module , supporting complex and nuanced leave scenarios.

During the contract portion, the work is primarily execution‑focused. After conversion, the role is expected to grow into a lead/training position , helping guide processes and support other team members (no direct reports).

This is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, systems‑savvy, and comfortable navigating the details of leave administration.

What You’ll Do

• Administer employee leave cases end‑to‑end using UKG (Leave Module)
• Set up new leave cases and complete bi‑weekly reviews to track usage and eligibility
• Accurately document leave time and supporting materials
• Determine FMLA eligibility and support both intermittent and continuous leave
• Manage documentation across UKG, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
• Use Teams‑based templates and shared folders to maintain consistent records
• Partner closely with team members to ensure smooth handoffs and coverage

Post‑Conversion (Future State)

• Continue administering leave cases (about 1/3 of the role)
• Serve as a team lead and trainer for leave processes (about 2/3 of the role)
• Support onboarding, documentation, and process improvements
• Opportunity to take on reporting or analytics work (Power BI), if interested

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in leave administration, HR operations, payroll, or benefits
• Hands‑on experience or strong familiarity with UKG (Leave Module preferred)
• Working knowledge of FMLA (training available if needed)
• Strong experience using Microsoft Teams to house files and work from templates
• Working knowledge of SharePoint for document management
• Comfortable toggling between multiple systems without losing files
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong documentation skills

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Prior FMLA administration experience
• Experience training or supporting peers
• Payroll or broader HR systems experience
• College degree
• Reporting or analytics experience (Power BI)

Experience Level

• 1-3 years preferred , but flexible for the right candidate
• Systems aptitude and attention to detail matter more than tenure
