POSITION SUMMARY:
The School Nurse at The Joshua School plays a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of students and staff. This position provides direct nursing care, manages medication administration, and supports students with complex medical needs through the development of individualized health plans. The School Nurse also ensures compliance with health regulations, contributes to the IEP process, and serves as a key liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers. With a deep commitment to student safety and wellness, the School Nurse helps maintain a healthy school environment where all students can thrive.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret governmental regulations, student special education documentation and assessment.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to interpret an extensive variety of language, terminology, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer/Technical Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, Google Suite software and knowledge of data collection platform software. Familiarity with Relias preferred.
