Job Description

 Serenity Sliding Doors Systems developed a superior sound attenuation and space savings sliding door solution. Our interior sliding door systems are sold primarily into the healthcare, commercial office, and hospitality markets. They can be sealed for sight and sound privacy along with being ADA compliant. We partner with Division 8 (Commercial Door) distributors across the United States and Canada along with architects and building owners to provide a customized, cost-effective solution. 

Position Summary  

The Saw Operator helps ensure that the production floor runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Operations Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. 

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Maintain a positive, results-oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, operations, other support functions, and customers. 
  • Performing operations such as cutting aluminum extrusions, light CNC machining, and aluminum door assembly while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Complete basic maintenance and operator care of equipment to ensure ongoing facility operations. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and engagement with team members. 
  • Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including maintaining a safe and clean work environment. 
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. 
  • Follow proper procedures to measure, handle, fabricate, and stage extrusions for packaging. 
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, examining workflows and providing feedback to current workflow processes to improve efficiency.? 
  • Aids and assists the warehouse department by prepping & building hardware sets. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

  Education, Experience & Qualifications  

Minimum 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship 
  • Have experience operating basic power tools and measuring equipment 

Preferred 

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • 1-2 years experience manufacturing, construction, or related industry experience 
  • Knowledge of door and hardware industry 
  • Have experience operating a forklift and commercial metal fabrication equipment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:  

  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 100 pounds. 
  • Work may require standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, climbing, twisting and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. 
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. 
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. 
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
