Job Description

Salary: $90,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require an active Cisco CCNP certification.
  • We prefer a bachelors degree.
  • We seek a senior network engineer or network architect background with strong operational ownership across multiple networks.
  • We need demonstrated experience leading vulnerability remediation for network infrastructure, including assessment, prioritization, mitigation, and validation.
  • We value proven experience supporting SDLC engineering and design for new network and AV-related initiatives.
  • We require hands-on expertise with AV and lighting ecosystems such as QSC Q-SYS, ETC, 7thSense Media Servers, BrightSign/Roku, Showmaster, Dante, Art-Net, and sACN (E1.31).
  • We need a strong understanding of multicast, broadcast, and real-time UDP/TCP traffic behavior, along with segmentation and containment best practices.
  • We expect advanced switch configuration and troubleshooting skills, including VLANs, IGMP snooping/querier, multicast control, QoS, port security, and storm control.
  • We require packet-level analysis capability.
  • We value excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians, vendors, and executives.
  • We look for high organization, strong project management ability, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • We expect the ability to evaluate multiple options and recommend the most efficient solution.
  • We require the ability to pass a corporate and federal background check; prior federal agency clearance is preferred.
  • We prefer candidates with approximately four years of experience in AV protocols, network architecture, network engineering, and protocol analysis.
  • We require the ability to work in person in Washington, D.C., and occasionally during weekends or after hours by arrangement.
Responsibilities:
  • We will have you provide day-to-day operations and maintenance support across multiple networks, including incident response, troubleshooting, maintenance windows, and reliability improvements.
  • We will have you monitor systems and perform observability and reliability actions to help keep operations stable.
  • We will have you lead vulnerability remediation efforts for network infrastructure, including patching, upgrades, hardening, compensating controls, change coordination, and validation.
  • We will have you support engineering and design for new network and AV initiatives, including scoping, architecture, implementation planning, documentation, and cutover support.
  • We will have you assist with infrastructure and lifecycle replacement projects while supporting both compliance and technical requirements.
  • We will have you provide senior-level networking support for AV and lighting teams, especially for switch configuration and troubleshooting.
  • We will have you help design segmentation and traffic controls for AV and lighting protocols to minimize broadcast impact and maintain predictable performance.
  • We will have you support wireless and external networks.
  • We will have you create documentation and transfer knowledge to internal stakeholders.
  • We will have you collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and deliver projects.
  • We will have you translate technical issues between AV, IT, and security stakeholders to drive clear, fact-based decisions.
  • We will have you help prevent blame cycles by analyzing problems objectively and supporting stable long-term fixes.
